Número Uno:  Watch lots of television in Spanish, including “las novelas y las noticias.” (soap operas and the news).

Número Dos:  Go out and make some friends with Spanish speakers.

Número Tres: Do not let a day go by where you do not read a Spanish language newspaper.

Número Cuatro: Take a trip to Mexico, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Panama, Costa Rica, Chile, Colombia, Spain or any Spanish –speaking country that you have always wanted to visit.

Número Cinco: Here’s one of my favorite learning Spanish online tips: Join an online foreign language exchange community.

Número Seis: Get to know Latino culture more. This can mean dining out more in Latino or Spanish restaurants. Or you can take it a step further by taking salsa, merengue or bachata dance lessons.

Número Siete:  Buy one of the comprehensive courses that I recommend in my personal list of the top 101 tools for learning Spanish online or one of the comprehensive courses listed to the left that my own students have recommended.

Número Ocho: Fill your ipod or mp3 player with Spanish language audio books.

Número Nueve: Take a Spanish-language learning group class or a private class.

Número Diez: Stop listening to English language programs on your radio and start listening to Spanish language programs on your radio.

Número Once: I know I promised you 10 learn Spanish online tips, but I could not resist giving you one more. Find a Latino or Latina (or Spaniard) “amante” (lover). 

Word of caution. I am only recommending the last tip to you if you are not in a committed relationship. My other learn Spanish online tips are safe for anyone.
